Mama Tried

Mama Tried is a custom built motorcycle show in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

This town is home to Harley Davidson.

The bikes on display represent the heritage of midwest motorcycle culture.

In years past Mama Tried included ice racing on Lake Michigan. This year's warm temperatures have prevented any such activity.

Perhaps hill climbing could be an ice racing alternative.

What would be midwest culture without thoroughbred drag racing.

There's a unanimous appreciation for the bikes that still see action.

Some bikes appear to time travel.

Taking ques from a variety of eras.

It would seem builders take pride in disguising the age of their motorcycle.

One formula remains constant here.  Piston power.

Unless this little Cushman is hiding something.

Victory was one motorcycle brand that tested the electric water.  It was recently announced they'll be ceasing all but their parts division.

Perhaps one day soon we'll see voltage propelled machines inside these brick walls.

For now, internal combustion reigns on.

Midwest culture is die hard.

There's a lot of history here and there's a lot to come.

What will 2018 bring?
