Beer, Coffee. Reverse. Repeat.

There's a lot of breweries in Grand Rapids.  Something in excesses of 40 says the internet.

It can be difficult to venture out and explore other options when the beer needs are met next door.  Immediately to our north, Speak EZ is a lovely little pub with delicious food.

Just to our south lies Atwater brewery.  The pizza is light and packed with flavor and the Vanilla Java Porter is never a bad decision.

Add the river to our west, a grassy knoll to our east and the occasional knee deep snow drift, it's not often Ellie and I trek out much further than these two spots.  That is unless it's for good friends and close family.

On one such occasion we hitched a ride with the mechanic himself, Tyler Hamersma.

But we usually just walk.

This city is beautiful.

The beers always flowing at Grand Rapids Brewing Company.

And of course there's these guys.  My good friend Dustin Abrego and the more recently acquired Chris Remijan.

It's always nice knowing that once we've had our fill, home is but a short stumble away.

The following morning perks up with a hot cup of coffee.

Madcap remains the staple for Grand Rapids coffee.

For a soothing atmosphere, Ferris offers a cozy window seat and a delightful pour over.
