Wheelin at Bundy

We convoyed out to Bundy Hill Off Road Park in our three black trucks.  Brian in the 4 Runner, Brad in the Tacoma, and me in my Cherokee.

Brad, eager to prove the long wheelbased Taco could still crawl.

No front locker on the Taco so the traction control has to step.  Polar opposite to my XJ's Detroit lockers front and rear.

I managed to snap a quick cell phone pic before Brian got the 4 Runner out of this mud hole.  Still in that mud hole is his license plate, passenger fender trim piece, and someone's tailpipe.

The muck that attempted to suck the skid plate off the 4 Runner.

I like the two tone.

Taco going full flex.

Brad dive bombing some mud holes.

The exit of the mud hole had a nice little bump.  Carry enough speed and get a little weightless.

Splashdown.

It was about this time we noticed the Tacoma was idling a bit rough.  A quick check of the dipstick yielded some unsettling results... Brad just had a new oil pan installed at his local dealer and it would seem a critical piece was missing.  Somehow the Tacoma had ran this entire time with, what was likely to be, no oil.

Some phone calls were made and Brad's local dealer was sending out a tow truck.  Now we just had to get the Taco back to the parking lot with the healthiest vehicle on hand.

My old rusty XJ.

The 14 year old Jeep towed the Toyota back to the top of the park like a champ.

Our convoy home was a rig short.  But, like any good off-roading adventure, we returned with plenty of stories to tell.
